Cookie Policy

Every cookie and storage entry FrogSky sets — what it does, how long it stays, and how to turn it off. No marketing-speak.

01.What cookies are (in 30 seconds)

Cookies are small bits of text a site asks your browser to remember — things like your language, whether you’re signed in, or which experiment variant we showed you. Some live for the length of a single visit; others stick around for months.

Some cookies are first-party (set by FrogSky directly). Others are third-party, set by a service we rely on, such as Cloudflare for bot-mitigation or Awin for affiliate-click attribution on the partner’s site.

We also use a couple of localStorage entries, which work like cookies but stay on your device only and never get sent to our servers automatically. We list those here too so you have the full picture.

02.The full inventory

Here’s everything FrogSky may set, grouped by purpose:

Essential

Needed for the site to work. Can't be turned off.

NamePurpose
NEXT_LOCALE
1st-party · cookie
Remembers your chosen language (EN / TR / ES) so we serve the right content.
fs_mode
1st-party · cookie
Stores travel mode (bus / flights) so the homepage opens in the mode you used last.
fs_region
1st-party · cookie
Stores your region (US / MX / AU) so we localize prices, currency, and partner inventory.
fs_session
1st-party · cookie
Signed-in session token. Only set if you log in.
fs_csrf
1st-party · cookie
CSRF protection token for form submissions.

Preference

Remembers small choices so the site greets you the same way next time.

NamePurpose
fs_currency
1st-party · cookie
Remembers your preferred display currency.
fs_theme
1st-party · localStorage
Stores light / dark theme choice once the toggle ships.
fs_recent_routes
1st-party · localStorage
Recently-viewed routes for the search autocomplete.

Security

Helps us tell humans from bots and protect sign-in flows.

NamePurpose
cf_chl_*
3rd-party · cookie
Bot-mitigation challenge for sign-in and admin areas. Designed to avoid third-party tracking.

Analytics

Aggregated usage data to understand which features actually help travelers.

NamePurpose
fs_analytics
1st-party · cookie
Aggregated, IP-truncated usage metrics. No cross-site identifiers.
awc
3rd-party · cookie
Click-tracking ID set on the partner site after you click an affiliate link, so commission can be attributed. Not set on FrogSky's domain.

A/B testing

Keeps the experiment variant we show you consistent across visits.

NamePurpose
fs_ab_bucket
1st-party · cookie
Identifier for the A/B test variant you're in, so you see a consistent experience.

03.Your choices

Three places to manage cookies:

  1. Our consent banner — where required by law, the banner lets you accept, reject, or fine-tune non-essential cookies. You can re-open it from the footer at any time.
  2. Your browser settings — every modern browser lets you block cookies entirely, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies for a single site. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and core features.
  3. Global Privacy Control (GPC) — if your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of any cross-context behavioral advertising or “sharing” under California law.

To opt out of marketing emails (which aren’t cookies but are commonly bundled with privacy choices), use the unsubscribe link in any email, or visit your notification preferences.

04.Changes to this list

When we add, remove, or change a cookie, we update the table above and bump the “Last updated” date. For material changes (new analytics provider, new third-party tag), we’ll surface a notice on-site.
